Cirencester College Website

Before
Cirencester College Website

Built from the ground up, the Cirencester College website was designed in-house by me and built in conjunction with a Full Stack Developer.

It was a fine balance between form and function, with it being in the education sector there was a lot of expectation of what it should look like and how the industry presents itself, however, I also wanted to push this envelope slightly and bring in a new cleaner design language.

As well as designing the website, I also worked with a developer to build a database that incorporated their courses, this linked to an internal system that we built, for the course leader to be able to input the data for each of the fields, this had a level of sign off and then for that to be published and a custom API would retrieve that data and present this on the website.

Another complexity of the website was building a custom ‘shopping basket’ function, where users could sign up and create an account, which could be linked to other accounts (to allow parents and students to have access). Add courses to a basket, and then push this data through to a 3rd party admissions software, to be handled by another team.

This was a huge undertaking, however the end result exceeded high expectations.
