DC Dual Force Website

Entertainment Campaign Creative

Designing and delivering a connected digital experience for a globally recognised entertainment franchise.

Overview

DC Dual Force was a digital campaign and platform project built around a globally recognised entertainment IP. The project combined creative campaign design with technically complex web functionality that connected directly with in-game player accounts and card management systems.

The Challenge

The project required balancing highly creative entertainment-focused design with the technical complexity of integrating directly with live game systems and player data.

Alongside delivering a visually engaging experience aligned with the DC universe, the platform also needed to support account-linked functionality where users could manage information and card collections that directly impacted their in-game profiles.

The project involved ongoing collaboration with game developers based in the US to troubleshoot integration challenges and align the web experience with the wider game ecosystem.

I worked across both creative direction and production management, helping guide designers and developers throughout the project while supporting technical coordination with the game development teams.

Approach

The visual direction focused heavily on preserving the energy and comic-inspired identity of the DC universe while adapting it into a more immersive digital experience.

Working with official character artwork and existing franchise assets, the design approach aimed to retain the boldness and atmosphere associated with comic-book storytelling while ensuring the platform remained functional and user-friendly.

Alongside contributing to the design work directly, I also managed the wider creative process and worked closely with developers to help navigate technical challenges around game-linked functionality, account systems and live user interactions.

I also collaborated with motion and video designers working on promotional trailers and campaign content, helping provide creative direction and typographic support to ensure the wider marketing outputs remained visually aligned with the design language and tone of the platform itself.

A major focus throughout the project was balancing entertainment-focused visual design with the technical requirements needed to support a connected player experience.

Outcome

The final platform combined branded campaign creative with functional account-linked systems that connected directly into the wider game ecosystem.

The project reinforced my experience leading multidisciplinary creative projects involving entertainment branding, technical coordination and complex digital functionality while working across both creative direction and hands-on delivery.

While the game was unfortunately later discontinued, the project provided valuable experience working across technically complex entertainment platforms, live-service integrations and large-scale franchise branding within a collaborative international production environment.
